ReBlogged

Ever notice how much better folks are at delivering service to their clients than actually fine-tuning their own craft?

...so perhaps that's not true, but it would be a good way to explain why Microsoft has forgotten how to innovate and Chrysler has forgotten how to make decent cars, if only I hadn't sold my Jeep and switched to Mac back in 2003, but I digress.

It occurred to me recently that blogging was an inevitable part of life for a so-called "new media guy". It's not that I haven't blogged before (I have), but suddenly the "I just don't have time" argument seemed a silly proposition for someone who puts food on the table by recommending and coaching clients in the use of things like YouTube, Twitter, Facebook, and their very own blogs. Most of all, sometimes an item would growl its way across my Twitter feed that I would have loved to have more than 140 characters to respond to. Facebook "Notes" didn't cut it on the open Internet, and it was time to start blogging anew.

So with a mix of excitement and apprehension (there already weren't enough hours in the day) I bring you a new blog, where we'll take up the familiar topics of technology, the Coast Guard, baseball, business, better organizations, biotech, social media, good wine, and quality people in our search for that connected and prosperous world that thrives on integrity and is driven by innovation.

Thank you, once again, for joining the conversation...
