At the core, I develop organizations that innovate in safety, education, technology, security, science -- organizations that believe in human potential, imagining the world the way it could be, and working to achieve those ends -- organizations working towards:A connected and prosperous world that thrives on integrity and is driven by innovation.I am, all at once, Senior Manager of Strategy and Marketing at a company specializing in homeland and global security solutions, a Program Manager of University Initiatives in the United States Coast Guard Auxiliary, where I also specialize in Marine Safety and Environmental Protection, and an advisor to organizations and companies who make it their mission to push the bounds of what is possible.
I grew up in Berkeley Springs, WV, graduated from The College of William and Mary, and have since completed the U.S. Coast Guard's Leadership and Management School, the Coast Guard Auxiliary's Public Affairs School, and a variety of other certifications in education, training, instructional design, emergency management, and maritime operations. I have worked with Fortune 500 companies to develop education, training, and performance management practices for their employees, government agencies on information technology deployments, universities and state governments tackling a range of Internet, distance learning, and curriculum development challenges, and a number of other organizations as they stand up new initiatives and translate great ideas into great successes. I tell the story of one such success, that of Whitecoat Strategies, below.
If you and your organization or company share these goals, then I would welcome the opportunity to work with you and learn together. Please connect or get in touch via email, andrewdwelch@gmail.com.
